National Theatre Digital Classroom

Find out about the huge expansion in online learning resources from the National Theatre.
There has recently been a huge expansion in the content created by the National Theatre for students. Whilst the Discovery section of their website has always had education packs (see links on right) they have recently expanded into other areas:

1. You Tube channel - This has over 150 videos covering technical theatre, playwriting and voice. I was particularly impressed by the Commedia dell'arte series which offered a step-by-step introduction to the style (see an example video above).

2. iTunesU - There is a crossover with some of the you tube content but this enables you to download the podcasts and videos directly to your phone or ipod. There's good content on War Horse.

3. TES National Theatre - This is a depository of all of their educational resources. IT covers a range of texts with videos, lesson plans (brief) as well as an archive of their education packs for each production.
